To ensure you get the rebates you are eligible for, read the following:

• Private Health Insurance companies do not pay for outpatient consultations.

• Medicare rebates are available if you are eligible and you have a valid doctor’s referral letter addressed to Dr Pia Bernardi prior to the appointment.

• Our office may process your medicare rebate electronically and if successfully transmitted, you will receive your funds within 1-2 working days.

• Fees are payable on the day of the consultation. (Credit Card and Eftpos preferred)

Consultation Fees

• Initial consultation: $250

• Subsequent review: $150

• Subsequent long review: $200

• Phone consultation: $80

Cost of surgery in a private hospital

For an insured patient:

• Surgeon fee: Fees vary for each procedure and will be discussed at your consultation. Your private health insurance and Medicare will cover the majority of the surgeon's fees. Dr Bernardi typically charges a gap fee which you will be informed of before the procedure. Item numbers for the procedure will be provided.

• Hospital fee: The hospital may require payment based on your insurance coverage.

• Anaesthetist fee: The anaesthetist's office will provide you a quote separately.
